Report on the hurlers trip to Croke Park

In hurling 2018, we drew our first game against St Maelruains. We then won our next two games in the group stage against two very good teams, and ended up in the quarter final, where we played against Drimnagh Castle, on our own turf. We won the match after a very impressive second half performance. In the semi-final we played in Marlay Park where we came up against a very skilful team, Scoil Lorcáin, but we came out on top after, yet again, a very skilful and nerve-racking performance. Then a few weeks past and the day of the final arrived. The bus across had an exciting atmosphere to it, then when we finally arrived we headed towards the changing rooms, where the atmosphere was even better. Everyone was hyped and wanted to start playing some hurling. When we walked up the steps and onto the pitch, it was a feeling that you couldn’t describe. The fans were all chanting, “Treasa Treasa!!!”And the pitch was even better than ours! Then came the match. Unfortunately we lost by three points but it was a great day out for us and the school.
