    1. Our Credit Union Saving Scheme with 5th Class pupils takes place each Wednesday morning. The pupils are saving on a regular basis.

    1. Swimming begins for the 5th Classes on March 10th in Templeogue College Swimming Pool.

    1. Our Chess Club continues to progress very well. Each week the pupils have classes and after school coaching. Our school team had a great win on Wednesday last in St. Anne’s Fettercairn.

    1. Our Book Fair was a huge success with the school earning almost €3000 worth of books for our school/ class libraries. Thanks to all the boys/girls and parents for their support.

    1. We have ordered 4 interactive whiteboards for the school and they will be installed before Easter. The cost comes to €15000 with the ‘Sponsored Spellathon’ covering the most of the cost.

    1. Confirmation preparations are in full swing. Our 6th classes were in ‘The Priory’ Tallaght for 2 retreat days this week, Class masses will take place next Sunday, our choir are preparing for the ceremony and ‘Faith Friends’ from Firhouse Community College are with us each Thursday morning. The Ceremony of Light and Reconciliation will take place in March.

    2. Our 3rd Classes had a very worthwhile musical workshop recently with ‘Drum Nature’.  This proved very popular with all the pupils.

    1. Attendance: Pupils should attend school unless they are unwell. Recently we have pupils missing school for trivial reasons. Pupils who miss 20 days or more must be reported to the N.E.W.B. (National Education al Welfare Board).

    1. Punctuality:  School starts at 9.20a.m. each morning. A number of pupils are constantly late for class. This is a very bad habit, children miss out on schoolwork and classes are disturbed by late arrivals.  Please ensure your child is on time for school.

    1. We had a visit to all classes recently of ‘The Diocesan Religious Advisers’. They were very impressed with all the work going on in all classes with the religious education of your children.

    1. Seachtain na Gaeilge will take place in early March. The school will organize different events during this week.  Perhaps you might try a’cúpla focail’ at home with your family.

    1. After a long, cold and wet winter outdoor sporting activities have resumed in school. Hurling, camogie, basketball and gaelic football are back.  Your child will be informed of the days by the teacher involved.  After school activities finish at 3.50p.m. each day.  If weather is inclement the pupils will be supervised until that time.  There is no need to phone the school about cancellations.

    1. Many of our 6th class pupils have sat their assessment tests for post primary schools. Coláiste Éanna will hold their test on Saturday March 7th.

    1. Our school website is back! After some technical hitches we are back on the web.  Check out the site at www.scoiltreasa.ie.  The site will now be updated on a regular basis with newsletters/ dates/information available.

    1. Do we have your correct contact number?  Many times we ring and have the wrong number. Please let us know if you change mobile.

    1. Thank you for your support at all times and if you wish to speak to me or a class teacher on any matter please contact the school (4513141) to make an appointment.
