      Health & Safety Issues:

  • Swine Flu: We continue to monitor the situation on a daily basis.  Our attendance numbers have been very good  since September. I ask you to be vigilant as regards the spread of this virus. We, in school, are taking all precautions in relation to hygiene, cleanliness and awareness. Please continue to follow our guidelines sent to you on September 1st. Pupils, who are ill for any reason, should not be sent to school.  If a pupil becomes ill during the school day you will be contacted.
  • Head Lice:  We have been notified by a number of parents over the past few days of this problem.  Please check your child’s hair and treat if necessary.
  • Fire Safety:  We recently held our fire drill in school and reviewed procedures in this area.
  • Hallowe’en:  There are accidents each year at this time in relation to bonfires etc.  The teachers will be dealing these topics with all classes as part of our S.P.H.E. programme during the coming week. Please discuss these issues with your child.
  • Road Safety:  It is imperative that all pupils use the ‘Lollipop Lady’ when crossing the road in mornings and at home time.  Some pupils ignore this important rule. Parking across from the school is not allowed. There are double yellow lines which prohibits parking.  Please park responsibly in the vicinity of the school.

2    Mid Term Break: School will close on Friday at 3pm and will reopen on Monday November 2nd at 9.20a.m.

3.   Enjoy your mid term break and well done to all boys, girls, teachers and parents on a very busy and productive eight weeks work.
