Science

Experiment 1:

Using a circuit to light a bulb

Equipment needed: Light bulbs, wire, batteries.

Step 1: Connect wires to either end of the battery.

Step 2: Touch wire to metal screws on light bulb.

Result: Light bulbs light!

Reason: Energy coming from battery powers the light bulb through the wire.

Experiment 2:
If there are more bulbs on the circuit , does it change the brightness?

Step 1: Connect wires to either end of the battery.

Step 2: Touch all the wires to the bulbs on the circuit.

Tip: It's easier with two people to hold the wires in place.

Result: Light bulbs light, but light is barely visible.

Reason: The battery has more bulbs to power, so the energy is divided.
